Remote ThinkBIOS Management in LDM
This feature enables remote changes to BIOS passwords. To access it, go to Policy Management > ThinkBIOS Management.
This feature is available only for licensed ThinkPad, ThinkCenter or ThinkStation devices.
You can manage passwords by Devices or Groups. Filtering options and behavior are the same in both tabs.
Using the Filters
- Product Family: select ThinkCentre, ThinkPad, ThinkStation or All to filter devices.
- Search box: enter the name of a device or group.
Devices Tab
Select one, multiple or all devices.
Groups Tab
Select one, multiple or all groups. You can also select specific devices within a group.
Change Password
- Select the device(s) or groupe(s)
- Click Change password.
- Enter the current password.
- Enter the new Supervisor Password.
- Re-enter the new password.
- Click Next.
- Review your changes and click Submit.
Strong Passwords are required, including:
• 1 uppercase character (A-Z)
• 1 lowercase character (a-z)
• 1 digit (0-9)
• 1 special character
• At least 12 characters
