Viewing Decommissioned Device Report
When a device is wiped or factory reset, it can no longer be managed through LDM. A key portion of returning a device to factory settings removes the UDC agent from the device. This agent is responsible for communicating with UDS / LDM, allowing the device to be remotely managed. However, IT Admins may still need to manage the asset within their inventory records for a certain amount of time.
To maintain these records, LDM automatically adds this device to the Decommissioned Devices report. Users can filter the data by date range, search for specific devices, and export the report. The Decommissioned Devices report contains the following information:
- Device Name
- Device Type
- Serial Number
- Date Created
- Date Decommissioned
- Decommissioned By
