Using Hardware Asset Management

Using Hardware Asset Management

The Hardware Asset Management page summarizes the component information for each monitored device in an organization. This information includes the specific types and versions of the CPU, Motherboard, Memory, Storage, Monitor and Network Card currently in use. This view gives IT Admins the ability to quickly track assets on each device, and proactively manage changes. Therefore, if an upgrade is necessary, a quick report can be pulled to schedule the change.

Navigate to Device Management > Hardware Asset Management.

The upper part of the page provides a concise overview of both the total number of devices within the organization, and the specific quantity of types of monitored components.

This information can be exported: click on the Export link on the top right corner of the page. A .CSV report is generated and accessible via the Notifications icon  located in the top right corner of the page. You can also access and download this report from the Device Management > Devices by clicking on the Notifications icon.

Assets

This part of the page displays a tab for each kind of component within the organization.
  1. Select a tab. The component information is displayed. Each entry displayed on a tab is clickable, allowing you to access detailed information.
  2. Click on an entry. A popup displays that specific component information and the devices where it can be found, along with their serial numbers.
  3. To export this information, click on the Export link. As mentioned above, you can access the .CSV report through the Notifications icon.
